Ex-NDA who has passed out of NDA and is a serving officer /retired/discharged under normal course.
Widows of deceased Ex-NDA and would not be charged any annual subscription. She will however have no voting rights.
A life member shall have the right to attend all General Body Meetings of the Association and to vote.
Annual General Meetings of the Association shall be held once each year in at such time and place as the Governing council (Central) may decide .
A notice of not less than forty five days shall be given for the Annual General Meeting. Notice of all motions proposed to be moved by any member shall be given in writing to the Honorary Secretary duly seconded by at least one member entitled to vote, at least thirty days before the date of the Annual General Meeting. In preparing the agenda for the Annual General Meeting, the Governing Council (Central) shall have the right to:-
Determine the order in which the business included in the agenda is to be considered.
Co-Ordinate into one or more resolutions, items covering the same subject wholly or in part.
Reject any motion which may be considered inconsistent with the aims and objects of the Association or irregular or out of order.
Frame and introduce any resolution which may be considered necessary for consideration of the General body.
The agenda shall be circulated to all members at least 14 days in advance or displayed at prominent places in the registered office of the Association/Chapters.
Business to be transacted during the AGM is as under:-
Presentation and adoption of the annual report of the association and the audited balance sheet and accounts of the previous year.
Election of members of the Governing Council for the ensuing years.
Such other business as may be placed on the agenda as permitted by the Chairman.
The NDA alumni permanently resident in various towns and cities in India and aboard may form NDAAAs in their respective locations with the title NDAAA Suffixed by the name of the town or city eg NDAA Banglore. These shall be recognized as Chapters of the main NDAAA provided the members that they admit are registered members of the main NDAAA (Their objectives charters, rules regulations, byelaws, provisions have to be in consonance with the Objects of NDAAA Central) in its Memorandum and are non-violative of its Rules and Regulations that authenticate its primacy. The main NDAAA will use the title NDAAA (Central) to distinguish it from Chapters.
Registered members of the NDAAA (Central) who are temporary residents (primarily serving officers) in any town or city may be admitted on request as temporary members to a Chapters of the NDAAA with financial liability limited to routine to routine day-to-day expenditure of the Chapter.
In order to assist permanent residents of towns and cities which have a considerable number of retired NDA Alumni, serving Officers in these towns/cities may be nominated by the President NDAAA (Central) to co-ordinate and preside over the formation of a Chapter in their town/city upto a period of one year by which time elected representatives may take charge and frame rules, regulations, byelaws, provisions that cater to the needs of their town/city.
Once the Chapters have been recognized by the GC and have a minimum of 20 life members, they will function along the same lines as that of the NDAAA (Central). The tenure of the office bearers of the Chapters will be three years. They will be elected by the members of the Chapter.
Standard office composition of the Chapters would be as under:-
